I was a widow and joined Match in 2009. I exchanged chit chat with a few people and made arrangements to meet one person at the Elks for a beer. He was a no show and his reason was - after he re-read my profile he realized I was a Taurus and he felt our signs clashed. I'm glad he was a no show because that kind of thinking is too weird for me. The second person I met lived 2 hours away and we both decided it was too far to meet in the middle. The third person was a winner. We met in a public place the first time and dated for over a year. We've been living together since 2010 and have built a home together. I love telling people I met him on Match. There are relationships that are made in Heaven or on Match.

The site is well organized and kept up to date with plenty of information. What I find is that pictures being posted by participants are not what they look like today. It would help if the site would state, "photo posting public must be no more than 3 years old".

This site requires more money for additional features. I don't think I should have to pay that much for additional features. It's difficult to maneuver the website and there's one feature that is not helpful. If I don't choose a match, I have to keep moving, it's not a maybe and that should be changed.

Following my divorce after 17 years of marriage, I was hesitant to try any type of site for dating, particularly worried for my privacy and safety. But utilizing Match.com I've been able to meet quality people, despite not yet meeting my long-term partner yet. The dating site is simple and easy to navigate, giving me the ample amount of information and insight to the persons I'm interested in meeting or speaking to. It gives me a few way to send flirts and list secret crushes, which is somewhat fun! :)

I really enjoyed being on this app. I did not find my current partner on this site but I met a few interesting people who I am still friends with to this day. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone looking to find a partner or even a friend.

I spent a considerable amount of time filling out the questionnaire, including their added feature called "Dealbreaker". If dealbreaker is checked off, Match will not send you any matches that do not exactly meet your criteria. For example, I checked off ** as a dealbreaker. So why would they email me matches of ** men? Their reasoning is that when the "System" runs out of ** matches, it automatically emails you other ethnic matches. Their term dealbreaker does not apply.

In addition, they don't vet their members. I had a couple unpleasant experiences with men that were married or had serious psychological issues. How do I know this? I just googled their phone number. But match does not do this, they do not do anything to make sure their members are legit. The first month that I joined I was getting great responses from matches that met my criteria, but as time went by, the matches they emailed me were very random. Very few met my criteria. Moral of the story- there are many dating websites out there. Dont' waste your money or your energy on this one

Hi, I have paid for one month on Match.com, 39 euro, at 2 stages, over 2 years. In both instances, there have been no replies from women, for approx 18 mails sent. It is as if the women are all just looking, but not paying. I was getting matches who were too far away. Overall for money spent, I found this site disfunctional. I am in Ireland. I am 20 years on different dating sites, and am still the bachelor. It is a draining scene.

I joined Match and after a week saw that it wasn't performing like I had hoped. The amount of people available and the amount I liked and messaged versus how many of them viewed my profile. So I was unhappy after a week and called customer service for a refund. They refused to give me one, said I only had 2 days to do that. I told them just prorate it for the week I used. They refused and have stuck me with a service I don't want for 6 months. SO REMEMBER IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOU HAVE 2 DAYS!!!

The first word of advice I would give someone: never "Like" a profile. They don't have an "unlike" capability so you're stuck with it in your listing of likes. (They should add some kind of timer to remove "likes" from your profile.) Secondly, don't let them pick profiles for you to connect with. They sent me two recommendations and both were not active on the service for weeks. If you find someone you like send them a message and hope there is mutual interest. As a reminder: if you prepaid for a six month subscription and decide two or three months in it's not for you, you won't get any kind of refund. Your profile will still be active on the platform until the subscription ends. I'd suggest removing your pictures and details once you decide to leave since they will continue to use it even if you're not active.

Match Group, Inc. (Ticker: MTCH) should be shut down by the FCC! Its business practices are unscrupulous at best! This site is filled with FAKE profiles but what makes it worse is many of these FAKE profiles are monitored by Match Group employees, who send "Likes" and will reply to messages and lead you in conversations to peak your interest.

The minute you suggest to meet in person OR take the conversation off the site... crickets! That's the last time you'll hear from that "person" and they will no longer reply to your messages. This has happened multiple times over the different reduced rate 6-month subscriptions I fell for over a span of a few years, taking a break for a year or 2 then going back. Also, as many other reviewers have mentioned, MATCH inundates you with emails of "Likes" in an attempt to reel you back in, which they did. First time shame on you, second time shame on me! Brilliant marketing OR borderline fraudulent practices? I'd say the latter.
